Professor Sekine from Utsunomiya has something against wasps, which is why he put all of his brain power into developing a humanoid robot which is capable of climbing ladders as well as spraying insecticide to remove wasp nests. The wasps can get mad at this humanoid robot for all Sekine cares, since a robot has no nerve endings, which means it can’t be hurt. The wasps themselves will find it difficult to penetrate the robot’s hide in the first place with their stingers. This robot came about as the professor’s friend, an exterminator who has been stung over 90 times while spraying nests as part of a local extermination effort, asked him to build a robot. Seems pretty complex when you can always get a quadcopter-like robot to just perform a hit and run – that’s a whole lot of less encumbrance when you think about it.
