Bad news for folks who have been looking forward to the upcoming HTC Desire HD And Desire Z, as it’s been confirmed that the phones will be delayed at least until the mid to end of October as they failed a last minute Google Type Approval testing, which typically refers to the requirements for a product to meet a particular set of minimum standards. This failed test follows recent reports that the T-Mobile G2 was having some issues with loose hinges and missing storage capacity, both of which won’t look good for HTC. Hopefully HTC manages to address the situation soon, especially since the Desire HD is one of the hotly anticipated devices this holiday season, what with its juicy 4.3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, and updated HTC Sense user interface.
