Hawk-Eye inventor is pretty sure that his goal-line technology is able to come to a decision within a split second – no more than half, actually. Well, the question is this – will it be the right decision? We would surely think that there will be two viewpoints to this – one who complains when a goal is awarded against, while the other would rejoice if the decision is in their favor. Inventor Paul Hawkins, whose system is used in cricket and tennis, did let BBC Sport know that “Technology is not here to hurt anyone, it can only make things better.” If you’re an avid sports fan, do you prefer to have the human element make potentially contentious decisions, or prefer a clean cut result due to an unfeeling robot/system?
