The good people over at the FCC have taken a look at Huawei’s Ideos S7 Android tablet. Just in case the S7 might seem rather familiar to some of us, it appeared at IFA 2010 last month, so having made its way to the FCC shows that it is being prepared to hit the US market if Huawei so desires. Hardware specifications include a 7-inch display at 800 x 480 resolution, 256MB RAM, a Qualcomm SnapDragon processor (could we be looking at something which runs on 1GHz at the very least?), a 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. While the S7 was spotted running on Android 2.1 at IFA 2010, one can safely expect Android 2.2 Froyo to accompany the device by the time it hits the market. No idea on pricing or availability just yet, but we do know that the world of tablets have just gotten slightly more crowded. Hopefully Huawei does a good job on this so that customers will be the winner in the end.
