FaceTime For Mac Has Security Threat To Your Apple ID
There’s some bad news going around about Apple’s freshly-released FaceTime beta for Mac. Turns out that there’s a security hole that allows anybody using your computer to change your Apple ID password without having to authenticate himself. Users will also be able to take a peek at and edit your security questions and answers. Granted you shouldn’t be allowing strangers to fiddle with your computer to begin with, but many people do have roommates who like to play practical jokes. Even worse, even if you sign out of FaceTime, the app still keeps your password saved, allowing anybody to easily open the app and sign-in again. Hopefully Apple will fix this security issue quickly.
