CTL has begun to ship its 2goPad, which is its own 10-inch tablet offering. The tablet is powered by Windows 7 and features components typically found in netbooks, such as a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, and up to 5 hours of battery life. Other connectivity options include an Ethernet port, a pair of USB ports, mini VGA output, webcam and microSD card reader. The company is planning to bundle Amazon’s Kindle app into the device, though whether its 2.6-pound weight might discourage users from using it as an eBook reader is another issue. Pricing for the CTL 2goPad will begin at $499 and can be ordered from October 15th. If you’re keen on getting this, you might want to do so soon, as the device will get a price hike to $599 come October 20th.
