Walmart has confirmed that Apple’s popular iPad will be arriving at its stores on Friday, October 15. All models will be available at the same prices that Apple charges and will be part of a separate showcase of Apple hardware in-store. The iPad will be available online via Walmart, but only for in-store pick up, so it seems like a trip to Walmart is inevitable if you decide to patronize them. The device will currently arrive at hundreds of stores, but an expansion will see a good 2,300 stores offer it by mid-November. Could the iPad’s arrival at Walmart indicate that Apple is feeling some pressure from its competition such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab which is slated to arrive at all four major US carriers in the next few weeks?
