Toshiba has just unveiled its first 3D Blu-ray player in the form of the BDX3100KB, and also an entry-level 3D Blu-ray player, the BDX1100KB. The former is capable of pumping out 1080p 3D content when connected to a TV via HDMI output. The 7.1-channel audio can also be transmitted in Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio Essential formats. Various media formats such as MKV, DivX, HD-JPEG, AVCHD, and MP3 are all supported, along with USB storage support. The BDX1100KB is geared towards consumers on a tight budget but is still capable of offering 1080p video output, HD upscaling, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and BD-Live content. Both Blu-ray players are set to ship in the UK sometime this October, though Toshiba has yet to announce pricing or launch dates for North America.
