After having just recently announced a slew of portables, Toshiba is back making news with retailer Best Buy to bring a rugged laptop targeted at youths. The companies are saying that this is the first youth-oriented laptop on the market today, and features a wipeable keyboard and kid-friendly software such as Net Nanny and Kid Zui. Toshiba is saying that the Satellite L635 “is a full-size laptop made for children aged five to 10 that provides a suite of entertainment and education software and allows parents to help ensure their children are staying safe on the Web.” The laptop features a 13.3-inch diagonal HD display, dual-core Celeron processor, a built-in DVD drive and Webcam, and will be available at Best Buy exclusively starting on September 26 for $500.
