T-Mobile’s G2 has been generating a fair number of waves recently, and for those who have been hankering after this smartphone will have another channel to consider. RadioShack tweeted earlier today to inform the general public that the G2 will retail for $149.99, which is $50 cheaper compared to what T-Mobile offers, albeit with a similar 2-year contract. No Scorpion here as originally thought, as the G2 will carry the MSM7230 Snapdragon processor instead which runs at 800MHz, carrying a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 720p video recording capability, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot and dedicated quick-keys. We’re not too sure whether people would find the unskinned version of Android 2.2 appealing or not, but the fact that the G2 can run on HSPA+ networks should be enough of a dangling carrot for most.
