Pentax has rolled out the K-5 DSLR at Photokina 2010 in Germany today, where this spanking new interchangeable lens digital SLR camera that retails for £1,199.99, where it will originally come equipped with an 18-55mm WR kit lens. This new model will rely on the Pentax K-7 as a base, although it will come with a fair share of new features such as a high-speed, low-noise CMOS 16.28 effective megapixels image sensor, Pentax’s PRIME II imaging engine, an extra-wide sensitivity range between ISO 80 and ISO 51200, full HD proportion movie recording capability, faster autofocus speed, and an upgraded HDR (High Dynamic Range) function. Expect the Pentax K-5 to hit the market sometime from the middle of next month onwards at the earliest.
