Getting Google Voice on Apple’s iPhone was a touchy subject a while back, and thanks to Apple relaxing some of the App Store policies, we recently saw many third-party Google Voice apps being approved for iOS. While third-party solutions are great, many folks are still looking out for an official solution from Google (aside from the Web interface) and now whispers are going around hinting that it might just materialize. According to reports, the official Google Voice app will be arriving on the iPhone in the next few weeks, and it claims that the app has already been approved and just needs to be tweaked to make it work with the iPhone 4 and iOS’s latest multitasking capabilities. Google Voice users on iOS out there must be jumping for joy at the moment.
