In case you were wondering what was running under the hood of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS portable gaming console, a rumor has surfaced, claiming that the device will be powered by two 266MHz ARM11 processors, a 133MHz GPU, 4MB of dedicated VRAM, 64MB RAM, and 1.5GB of flash storage. The use of two separate processors isn’t new as the original DS used a 67MHz ARM9 and 33.5MHz ARM7 chip. Nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, but you can bet that some folks out there will be tearing the 3DS apart when it’s released to the masses, so we’re waiting for confirmation that should arrive sometime in the future.
