We previously caught wind of the upcoming Walmart Family Mobile service and now more details have surfaced, giving us an early glimpse of what Walmart will be offering us. According to the leak, the phone service will cost $45 for the first line and $25 for each additional line, which you will be able to add up to a maximum of five. Your data usage will be a shared bucket that rolls over from month to month. Data usage can be purchased on prepaid data cards dubbed WebPak cards. Calling to 14 major international cities will set you back $0.05 per minute. You’ll be able to activate any unlocked US GSM phone on the plan for a $25 activation fee and your bill can be prepaid via a credit or debit card at any Walmart store nationwide. The service will be launching on September 20th and will offer several phones, which include:
- Nokia 1661 – $35
- Samsung T139 – $50
- Samsung T749 – $150
- Motorola Cliq XT – $250
