MetroPCS has just gone live with its LTE network in Las Vegas in a partnership with South Korea company Samsung. Samsung not only delivers the LTE infrastructure, they also provided MetroPCS with the Samsung Craft SCH-r900, which incidentally is also the first LTE phone in the world. Those living in the Las Vegas metropolitan area can pick up the Samsung Craft, which is also known as the “world’s cheapest 4G phone”. It will retail for $299 if you decide not to be tied down to any contract, and this is after a $50 mail-in rebate. If you want to know more about the Craft, check out the specifications in the extended post. In the meantime, will we see more bloggers on the CES showfloor with a Samsung Craft tethered to their netbooks/notebooks next year?
