While HTC’s Android-powered smartphones do come with a slew of applications from Google to compliment it, Verizon Wireless’ LG Vortex is different, as it will side with Microsoft instead. Similar to the Samsung Fascinate, the LG Vortex will ship with Microsoft Bing as the search engine of choice, alongside Bing Maps to help you get around. Android 2.2 runs as smooth as a baby’s bottom even on a 600MHz processor, where it will also be accompanied by an integrated FM radio. Microsoft seems to want to have a slice of the Android pie as well despite shaping up its Windows Phone 7 for a release soon. As long as Bing gets the job done, we’re happy for owners of the LG Vortex.
