Credit cards have been smart in our books for a long time now, as what other things we own are able to subtly suck us into the world of materialism and knee deep in debt before we know it? Well, Dynamics has found a way to make credit cards smarter, as the demonstrated a couple of credit cards which are able to have their magnetic stripes rewritten on-the-fly. The first two-accounts-in-one card lets you press a button to switch the card from one account to another, while a security-enabled card which will keep both the magnetic stripe and human-readable number on the front of the card obscured, at least until you enter the correct security code. Would any of them help us save money in the long run? Perhaps going through many levels of verification might turn us off the use of credit cards.
