DIY: Automatic Door Opener With Timer
You might not live on a farm, but if you do and have to let the chickens out of the coop every morning, it’s going to be a tiresome job, especially if you don’t like waking up early. With that in mind, someone decided to automate the job by creating an automatic door opener. It seems rather low-tech, but it does get the job done nicely. It uses a traditional mechanical alarm clock, a geared motor, some smart cabling, and weather proofing tweaks. A simple hack, one that allows you sleep in longer, that’s what we all want, right?
