AMD’s Eyefinity technology is certainly one of the more impressive methods to fill up your peripheral vision with nothing but pixels, but it isn’t exactly the cheapest way to go about it if you’re relying on DisplayPort-capable monitors. This has caused many gamers to purchase $100 DisplayPort-to-DVI adapters which goes a long way in raising the cost of adoption by a fair bit. AMD hopes to make things more affordable by developing converters which are tipped to cost a fraction of that – we’re looking at $30 thereabouts. Hopefully it will roll out sooner rather than later.
