Rumors have already been going around that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab will be quite an expensive device. Samsung has confirmed that the device won’t break the bank if you’re willing to take it together with a carrier contract, and now it has surfaced that Amazon Germany is already listing the device at EUR799 ($1,209), which is most likely the price for the unlocked, off-contract device. With Apple’s iPad already making plenty of waves at a fairly reasonable price, will the Galaxy Tab will able to knock the iPad off its perch? Specifications of the Galaxy Tab include:
- Android 2.2 with TouchWiz 3.0
- 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display
- 1GHz Cortex A9 processor
- 16GB or 32GB internal storage
- microSD card expansion up to 32GB
- Front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera
- Rear-facing 3-megapixel camera with flash
- 4,000mAh battery
- 3G
- 5GHz dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi
- Full HD video playback
