The AlessiTab just got a release date and pricing for an Italian launch. The home-based tablet will launch in November for €399, and will feature 1GB of storage, DVB-T digital TV tuner, WiFi b/g and an HDMI output. The device’s 10-inch screen is integrated into an L-shape frame, which means that you can’t just pack the screen alone for travel unfortunately. However, the L-shape stand allows for comfortable viewing when in upright position, like a TV monitor, or for working and browsing when reclined on its more horizontal position, much like the Apple-designed iPad case for the iPad. According to the designer, Android Market app store access won’t be available on the AlessiTab, and specific apps and widgets are curated for the device for use as a home media tablet. There’s also a webcam, microphone, and speakers so you can even use the device as a VoIP phone.
