Most folks who have been to watch a 3D flick at the theaters will have noticed that the 3D glasses that you’re required to wear aren’t too cool. That might change in the future, though, as Polaroid has inked a deal with 3D tech firm RealD, which means that the next pair of 3D frames that you wear might sport Polaroid’s curved-lens design. If everything works out hunky-dory, perhaps your future sunglasses might support 3D video, as Polaroid’s 3D glasses feature polarized, UV-protective lenses, allowing you to wear them outside without worrying about protection for your eyes. Still, the idea of wearing 3D glasses outside of a theater might seem weird to some.
