A device with a built-in USB connector is always welcome in our books for several reasons – you don’t need to worry about lugging a cable with you wherever you go for easy data transfer between a device and a computer, and it also cuts down on the parts required to be manufactured when packaged, hence doing its bit for the environment as well. Samsung’s PL90 is a 12.2-megapixel digital camera that boasts such an integrated USB connector, although this feature has long been available in entry level camcorders such as the Cisco Flip. For further information such as its specifications, do check out the extended post. Samsung will be making the PL90 digital camera available in the US from next month onwards for $149.99 – we’re interested to see just which manufacturer will follow suit next. [Press Release]
