Samsung is really placing a lot of focus on 3D technology, as the company has just introduced a new set of Blu-ray players that include the first portable 3D model, the BD-C8000, which is capable of offering 3D movies when attached through an HDMI output. Its own 10.3-inch display is only capable of displaying movies in 2D, though, which isn’t too surprising. It’s able to last for up to three hours on a full charge, sports 1GB of internal memory, and also offers Wi-Fi for BD-Live. The BD-C8000 is already shipping at $500. Other Blu-ray players include the BD-C7900, C6800, and the C5900, with the C7900 being the more interesting option as it sports dual HDMI outputs and can offer extra Internet-related features such as Blockbuster, Netflix and Pandora. The C6800 only offers one HDMI output, while the C5900 is the entry-level device. The C7900, C6800, and the C5900 will be priced at $400, $280, and $230 respectively.
