The iPad clone known as the Malata Zpad does not only have a decent design on the outside, it also boasts some pretty beefy specifications underneath the hood. We’re talking about a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra2 chip that jives well with a 10.2-inch resistive touchscreen at 1024 × 600 resolution. Malata even puts other more established hardware manufacturers to shame, running the Zpad on Android 2.2 Froyo instead of Eclair. While no further information concerning its innards were revealed, it is tipped ot be able to handle 1080p video playback with aplomb. Check out a video of the Zpad in action while handling 3D games in the extended post. The chances of such clones hitting Stateside aren’t too bright, but if you could bring in a grey import, it could be something worth looking into.
