It’s not uncommon to hear of scams going around the Internet, and now reports have surfaced that a new web scam is affecting many iTunes users who have linked their accounts to PayPal. The trick is pretty much your standard phishing scam in which users get emails that look similar to those from official sources that urge them to change their username and password for security reasons and presents them with a fake website to do so, which does the dirty work of collecting the user’s credentials. Considering that Apple’s iPhone and iPod line of devices have plenty of users around the world, it’s not too surprising to see that scammers are targeting iTunes users. With that in mind, do always be careful of Internet scams.
