Many folks out there love to enjoy a hot shower, but there is always plenty of waste heat generated when doing so. Some smart folks out there have come up with a device that will harness said waste heat in order to reduce electricity consumption, and will be able to capture the waste heat from your shower and transfer it to the hot water tank. Dubbed the PowerPad, it claims to be able to harness up to 15 percent of the energy coming out from the faucet, but it can be improved to harness up to 30 percent when it goes on sale a good six weeks from now. Technical details aren’t exactly available just yet, but if it works as promised, it does sound rather promising. The PowerPad is slated to hit the Chinese market and will be priced at $600.
