You might already have a pretty good email filter set up to help you manage your incoming emails in Gmail, but Google has just introduced a Priority Inbox feature to help you identify which email is important. The new system uses a variety of signals such as the people you email the most, and which messages you reply to the most. You’re also able to manually help it identify which emails are important by increasing or decreasing the priority of certain emails, making the system more tuned to your preference over time. The Priority Inbox service will be rolling out over the next week or so, so keep an eye out for the “New! Priority Inbox” link at the top right corner of your Gmail account, or the new “Priority Inbox” tab in Gmail settings. Check out a video of Priority Inbox in action after the jump.
