Asus’ CEO has confirmed that the company is busy working on an Android version of the Eee Pad which is slated to arrive in March and will be priced at just $399. Details on the tablet weren’t abundant, but it was said that some of the Android engineers on the smartphone team will be diverted there, which shows that Asus means business when it comes to Android tablets. Aside from that, Asus is planning to release the Windows 7-powered tablet, the EP121, in either December or January, though it will be rather pricey at $1,000. The high price is apparently due to the device offering additional features such as being able to function as a full desktop computer by utilizing a companion dock, not to mention the use of high-end components such as the ULV Core 2 Duo processor.
