Acer has a Chrome OS-powered netbook in the works, but they have kept it under wraps pretty well until now, that is. Apparently, some person has been filing Linux and Google Chrome bug reports which were related to a previously unannounced Acer machine, and from the reports itself, the hardware of said machine fall comfortably within the netbook class – we’re talking about an Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz processor, 1GB RAM, an integrated 8GB SanDisk pSSD (solid state disk), ambient light sensor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. No idea on pricing or a roll out date, but the progress reports seem to indicate that “sooner” is a better bet than “later”.
