We’ve previously checked out the Acer Aspire One D255 netbook before, but Acer currently has the device on show at the Taipei Computer Applications Show with a little twist. The netbook is configured to dual-boot Google’s Android OS and Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system. The 10.1-inch netbook is priced at NT$9,500 ($300) at the show, though if you decide to pick it up through normal retail channels at a later date, it’ll set you back NT$11,900 ($375). Too bad it wasn’t mentioned what version of Android is was running, though we are hoping for Android 2.2. It hasn’t been confirmed whether this configuration will be available globally anytime soon. Specifications of this dual-booting Aspire One D255 include:
- Intel Atom N450 processor
- 1GB of DDR2 RAM
- 160GB hard drive
- 3-cell battery (with an optional 6-cell battery)
- Dual-boot Android and Windows XP
- 10.1-inch display
