Solid state drives are getting more and more commonplace be they internal or external, and the latest from Super Talent would be the UltraDrive MX that features a new dual-interface, catering for both SATA II and mini-USB connections. This lets you use the drive internally or externally, depending on your need at that point in time. Ideal for notebook upgrade consumers, the UltraDrive MX SSD can be mounted via USB before creating an image of your hard drive contents, before hooking it up internally through SATA for a cloned SSD without mucking around with the settings too much. Read and write speeds stand at 250MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively. Expect the UltraDrive MX to ship from September 1st onwards, where it will come in 60GB, 120GB, 240 and 480GB capacities. There is still no word on pricing though.
