Samsung just launched two new mid-range compact digital cameras named ST600 (27mm, f4.9) and ST100 (35mm, f6.3) – I wish that they both had an f2.8 lens for dim lighting shots. Both cameras share a lot of things in common: practically all their software and features are similar, and both feature a dual-screen system that is activated by a simple tap on the front display. They also come with KREUZNACH lenses that feature optical and digital image stabilization with a 5X zoom. The image resolution is 14 Megapixel with an ISO of 3200, for dim lighting. As it is often the case with Samsung, the cameras are packed with features, and presets. The main difference between the ST600 and the ST100 is that the ST600 has a wide(r)-angle, and it is a bit more sensitive to light. They will retail for $330 and $350 respectively.
