The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 is officially out and it packs a lot of punch for a $200 graphics card. This represents NVIDIA’s entry into the $200-range DX11 market with a chip built from the ground up to compete at that price point. The efficiency of the GeForce GTX 460 is higher than its predecessor: the GTX 465. The GTX 460 is faster, cheaper, cooler and therefore has all the attributes of the “perfect product”. This will without a doubt put pressure on AMD to lower the price of its Radeon 5830 if it wants to stay competitive in that segment. As good as the GeForce GTX 460 is, we do recommend to get the 1GB version of the card instead of the 768MB.
