A head-mounted Mobile Video Communication System has been demonstrated by the smart folks over at the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo. This system sports acceleration and position sensors built into the head-mounted display, allowing the remote camera to move in relation to your head’s movements. Such technology would be pretty useful when it comes to videoconferencing, as it could promote effective communication by allowing users to make eye contact. Of course, the issue is, if everybody is wearing this, you wouldn’t be able to see each others’ eyes. Check out a video of this in action after the jump.
