It’s still not confirmed that this will be the actual packaging for the US version of the Dell Streak, but if it is, the folks over in the UK are probably going to be quite jealous, as this seems to come in a pretty acrylic casing, which is a lot nicer than the boring cardboard boxes that we’re used to getting. That being said, using more plastic might not go down well with environmentalists, so Dell might have to tread carefully on that issue. Pictures of the device being unboxed from this pretty casing are aplenty, and if the features listed on the side of the box are accurate, this device is definitely headed for AT&T’s 850MHz 3G band. Are you planning to grab hold of the Dell Streak when it’s released? According to the screenshots, specifications of this Dell Streak include:
- Android 1.6 (Which is getting old)
- 5-inch 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen Gorilla Glass display
- 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- HSDPA/HSUPA
- Bluetooth 2.1
- 5-megapixel rear-facing camera
- VGA front-facing camera
