Sony has unveiled some new notebooks, namely the 14-inch VAIO EA, 15.5-inch VAIO EB, and 17.3-inch VAIO EC notebook series. The EA and EB series notebooks will be offered in a few bright color schemes, while the EC is available in black. The processor used in these notebooks is the 2.26GHz Intel Core i3 (with the option to upgrade to i5), 4GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium, HDMI output, and optional Blu-ray drive. The EA and EB series notebooks are powered by Intel graphics, though there is the option of a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics chipset while the EC has the option of getting the HD 5650 with 1GB of RAM. The EA, EB and EC series notebooks will set you back $770, $700 and $820 onwards and will begin to ship July, with pre-orders already being taken as we speak.
