While delays to Lenovo’s Skylight smartbook are disappointing, there is a silver lining to the whole deal. When it was first announced, it was supposed to be powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM-based processor, but according to Digitimes, thanks to the delay, Lenovo has had time to swap in a newer, more powerful, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. As earlier mentioned, the Skylight smartbook should be powered by Google’s Android OS when it’s finally released before the end of the year. Would a dual-core Snapdragon processor make the Skylight smartbook a more attractive proposition to you?
