Check out the Fab Lab house that is on display at Mexico, where it can be built from scratch in a mere 15 days while offering enough room to house a family of four. What makes this 75-square meter hours special is its odd paraboloid shape that will take maximum advantage of the sun’s rays, where the top is covered in solar panels to help gather enough juice throughout the day to power the household. A trio of legs helps elevate the house in order to catch as much sunlight as possible, while keeping it cool in the summer simultaneously. This is the brainchild of the Institut D’Arquitectura Avancada de Catalunya, and we would recommend this for earthquake prone areas where rebuilding efforts ought to take minimal periods of time. Hopefully it won’t be too expensive when mass produced.
