EeeBuntu NetBook OS Renamed To Aurora

Eee PC owners who have dabbled in Linux for their netbooks will probably have heard of EeeBuntu Linux before, which is one of the more popular linux distros for netbooks. Originally based on Ubuntu Linux, it has since switched to using Debian Linux as its base (though Ubuntu is also Debian based). The biggest change recently is that the makers of EeeBuntu have changed the name of the distro to Aurora, which does make some sense, especially since it’s not longer based on Ubuntu anyways. The first version of Aurora will ship with the open source GNOME desktop environment, along with Firefox as its default web browser. Other software included are Thunderbird for email, Pidgin for instant messaging, OpenfOffice.org, and Twitter. Aurora is available as a free download.
