Casio is first off the blocks with their very own high brightness eco-friendly projector in the world, using a new solid state light source. Dubbed the Green Slim, it will include a Casio developed and patent pending Hybrid Light Source that merges both Laser and LED technology, resulting in amazing high brightness and the ability to last up to 20,000 hours. This earth-friendly, low maintenance projector will not hold a short life mercury lamp to help it maintain its green credentials, while making it a whole lot more economical to operate. It can also be rotated 90 degrees for portrait display when using WXGA format models, while other models in the same line are wireless-enabled to do away with the need for wires and cables. No idea on pricing or availability just yet though.
