Can’t wait to see what it will be like to have Google’s latest Android 2.2 (FroYo) running on your Motorola Droid? As always, there are solutions for the impatient, and this time in comes in the form of a leaked FroYo ROM, complete with root and superuser permissions. The downside is that Wi-Fi support was removed, apparently to protect the original source, so that’s quite a significant omission. As usual, if you’re planning on downloading this and giving it a go, we’re obliged to remind you that this is not an official release, and you’ll only have yourself to blame if you end up with an expensive paperweight.
