The current Eee PC 1201PN might lack the NVIDIA Optimus technology to help you switch your graphics hardware on the fly, saving battery life, but Asus looks like it will be sorting that out in its successor, the Eee PC 1215. The 1215 is more or less the same device as the 1201PN, but sports a slightly different casing, and more importantly offers the Optimus technology, a feature that lets the graphic driver switch between the low-power integrated graphics and the fast GPU, depending on the needs.. Aside from that, the netbook packs a dual-core Atom D510 processor, Ion graphics to complement the on-board graphics, and surprisingly, a pair of USB 3.0 ports. There isn’t any pricing or release information on this netbook just yet, but pictures and some benchmark results of it have been posted online, offering you some useful information before you decide whether this is the netbook for you.
