Every guy out there loves remote controlled toys, whether it’s a helicopter or a car. With that in mind, the unmanned airborne system (UAS) Phantom Ray is probably the dream remote-controlled aircraft for every guy. Being 36-feet long, it’s almost the size of a fighter jet, so you probably wouldn’t be able to park this in your back yard. Its engine is hidden deep within its fuselage, making it a lot harder to spot, even with infrared imaging devices. As we mentioned earlier, this is a remote controlled aircraft, so there will be no humans (or monkeys) on board, allowing this aircraft to fly up to 614mph while you sit back and sip a cup of hot java back in the office. While it’s easy to think of many fun things we could do if we got hold of one of these, Boeing’s CEO of Defense, Space and Security reckons that it can be used for surveillance, reconnaissance, suppression of enemy air defenses and all those more boring things. Despite that, terrorizing your neighbor’s pet would seem a lot more fun, though.
