While rumors were going around that Acer would be launching devices powered by Google’s Chrome OS at Computex, now a different claim has surfaced, possibly rebutting the previous claims. Word is that Acer will be having an event on May 25th, but neither this event, nor Computex will showcase any Acer device that uses Google’s Chrome OS. With Chrome OS to be officially released in the second half of 2010, it’s possible that Google and Acer need a little more time to polish things up before it goes into mass production. We wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer as long as the end product is something cool, right?
