Looks like nowadays we don’t need an Amazon Kindle in order to read eBooks from the Kindle store anymore. Now Amazon has confirmed that Kindle for Android will be arriving this summer, giving us one less reason to buy a Kindle eBook reader. Aside from reading your existing Kindle content, you’ll naturally be able to purchase books from within the application. You can sign up to be notified when the app is available to be downloaded for free on Amazon’s website. Features of the Kindle for Android include:
- Access to your existing Kindle library
- Sync your latest page read between the Kindle, iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry and Mac
- Choose from five different font sizes
- Read in either portrait or landscape mode
