In perhaps what could be termed as an overzealous effort to copy the Apple iPad, most manufacturers from China seem to have forgotten that their Android-powered tablets could very well come with a decent webcam for added functionality, but not this FirstView model. This 7″ tablet also sports a 3G SIM card slot that supposedly enables you to surf the Internet with a data connection in the event where there is no Wi-Fi connectivity. Too bad you won’t get Android 2.2 (FroYo) with this, and we have no idea when will an update be available, so you’ll be stuck with Android 1.6 at the moment. There is no word on pricing as at press time, but this will probably retail in the region of $150 a pop. Features include an ARM9 533MHz processor, 128MB RAM, 2GB of internal flash memory, a 7″ touchscreen LCD display at 800 x 480 resolution, an SD memory card slot and a couple of USB 2.0 ports to boot. Sounds routine for an Android tablet eh?
