You can bet that Amazon is supportive of its Kindle for PC application, and now the online retailing giant has announced a partnership with Asus that will see its Kindle for PC application preinstalled on Asus netbooks and notebooks that are sold via Amazon. Whether you’d want additional software preinstalled on your notebook is an entirely different matter, but from today, selected Asus notebooks and netbooks such as the Eee PC 1005PE and UL30 from Amazon will come preinstalled with said application. With eBook reading becoming more and more popular these days, it’ll be interesting to see if this move will affect the sales of tablet eBook readers in the market.
