NU has launched what is touted as the world’s slimmest portable external Blu-Ray writer, the EBR240. It supports dual-layer burning on Blu-Ray disks, and can reach speeds of 6X and 2X on BD-R discs and BD-RE discs respectively. The EBR240 also claims to be able to automatically adjust the writing speed to minimize disc error when using poor quality media at high-speed recording. In case you were wondering, the dimensions of this drive are 155x141x18mm, and weighs only 380g, which should make it a good companion for your laptop. There wasn’t any mention of a retail price just yet.
