Nokia’s N900 might not be the newest smartphone on the block, but it seems that owners of the N900 don’t want to see it left behind, as they’ve managed to boost the clock speed of the processor from its stock 600MHz to a whopping 1GHz, albeit the maximum stable clock speed seems to be 900MHz. All this was done via a recompiled kernel, so there was no CPU voltage hack involved. Thanks to the speed bump, owners have reportedly experienced significant increases in speed, though it probably won’t be too healthy if you were to keep your N900 running at such speeds all the time. Regardless of the possible repercussions, it’s an amazing feat, and you can check out more details on this hack in the video after the jump.
